Job Summary
Evaluate patients’ physical conditions and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and use of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound) to reduce pain and restore mobility. Administer and supervise treatments, educate patients and families on home exercise programs, assistive devices, and preventive care, and maintain accurate patient records. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other staff to provide coordinated care; supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and students; stay current with PT techniques and pursue ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- BS or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from a PT program approved by the APTA
- Current Physical Therapy license for state of operation
- Experience supervising Physical Therapist Assistants and students
- Knowledge of equipment use and preventative maintenance procedures
- Experience with recommending assistive equipment and follow-up programs
- Empathy and compassionate outlook for PT
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to follow instructions and interact with patients and families
- TB skin test annual verification
