Job Summary
The Physical Therapist is responsible for performing comprehensive assessments of patients, developing and updating individualized care plans, and delivering skilled physical therapy treatments. This role requires bachelor's degree qualifications, a valid Ohio license, and two years of clinical experience. Key responsibilities include evaluating patients, coordinating care, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation. The therapist must also demonstrate effective communication skills, comply with safety regulations, and participate in interdisciplinary care conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a program accredited by the APTA or a Bachelor's degree in science with an APTA certification in physical therapy or the equivalent
- Licensure in the state of Ohio
- Two years of clinical experience with a varied patient population
- Current CPR certification
- Must possess a valid State of Ohio motor vehicle operator's license and be insurable under Firelands' auto policy
- Employee must provide proof of personal automobile liability insurance coverage upon request
- Ability to lift an average size patient and be mobile
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate in both written and oral form
- Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free work place
- Ability to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations
- Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms
- Successful completion of a 90 day probationary period
Desired Qualifications
- FIM Certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to keep abreast of new research and practices in the field
