Job Summary
Provides physical therapy assessment, treatment planning and implementation to improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and prevent deformity for patients in acute care. Collaborates with physicians and families to establish and adjust plans of care, delivers ongoing patient education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources. Maintains thorough documentation of evaluation and treatment sessions, adheres to ethical standards and infection prevention, and participates in staff meetings and ongoing professional development. Requires PT licensure and BLS certification; strong communication, teamwork, and customer-service orientation are essential.
Required Qualifications
- PT - Physical Therapist
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Doctorate Physical Therapy or Masters Physical Therapy or Bachelor’s Physical Therapy
- Active licensure as Physical Therapist in Georgia
