Job Summary
The Physical Therapist completes initial and ongoing assessments and provides skilled therapeutic interventions to patients in acute care settings, including inpatients, outpatients, pediatrics, and off-site locations. Responsibilities include developing and revising treatment plans, delivering direct therapy daily, instructing patients and families, documenting care in the EMR, co-signing for supervised PTAs when applicable, maintaining productivity and department standards, and supporting compliance and continuing education. Requires state licensure as a Physical Therapist (BLS may be required within a specified period).
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of current practice or meet all qualifications for traineeship or temporary license in the state of current practice (required)
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
- Education: None Required
- Experience: 2 years of experience in equivalent setting (preferred)
- Demonstrates appropriate application of age specific standards, policies and procedures and guidelines
