Job Summary
Evaluate patients regarding therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders. Interpret clinical data to oversee comprehensive rehabilitation programs supporting patient independence and psychosocial well-being. Coordinate with various disciplines to align efforts toward discharge goals established at initial evaluation. Serve as a patient advocate while performing other duties as assigned across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based, and home health settings.
Required Qualifications
- Less than one year experience in physical therapy
- Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy
- basic computer skills
- foundational understanding of the rules and regulations of the specific care setting
- knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan
- detailed knowledge of physical therapy
- interpretation of clinical data
- evaluating and treating patients using a wide range of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders
- knowledge of patient and caregiver self-determination
- coordination and communication with various disciplines involved in patient care
- alignment of efforts toward discharge goals established at the initial evaluation and throughout the episode of care
- serving as a patient advocate
