Job Summary
Conduct initial and re-evaluations to design comprehensive physical therapy plans of care for neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and pulmonary patients. Implement and manage specific treatment interventions while coordinating with interdisciplinary teams for quality patient outcomes. Reassess patient status, modify goals and treatments, and provide discharge planning and education to patients, families, and caregivers. Document all assessments, planning, treatment, and progress in compliance with chart review audits and state licensure standards. Complete charge documentation and attend mandatory staff meetings and in-services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- State PT Licensure from the Board of PT Examiners or PT Compact Commission
- Advanced level of clinical and interpersonal skills
- Advanced knowledge of diagnoses/conditions seen in physical therapy
- Advanced working knowledge of various Physical Therapy techniques
- Sound judgment in delegating task to Physical Therapy Assistants and Rehab Techs
- Sound judgment in selecting the proper mode of communication which conveys a favorable image of the therapy department and Prisma Health
- Ability to demonstrate advanced clinical and interpersonal skills
