Job Summary
The Physical Therapist develops and implements physical therapy programs to restore function and improve physical movement. Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team and oversees physical therapy assistants, rehab aides, trainers, and other allied staff. Responsibilities include meeting with patients to collect medical history, evaluating current physical ability, and developing rehabilitative treatment programs to maximize function or reduce pain; applying therapeutic procedures, exercise, or equipment to restore movement, strength, or flexibility; re-evaluating patient status and adjusting care plans; educating patients and families about the recovery process; maintaining patient confidentiality and safety; ensuring compliance with Medicare and other quality initiatives; and contributing to a compliant, safe work environment. Education/Training requires graduation from an approved PT program and possession of a Physical Therapy license, plus CPR certification. Skills include effective interpersonal and communication abilities, teamwork, documentation, problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds and operate standard PT equipment. Required Qualifications
