Job Summary
Perform and document initial exams to evaluate data, identify problems, and determine diagnoses prior to intervention. Plan and carry out individually designed physical treatment programs to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent dysfunction. Administer manual exercises, massage, or traction to relieve pain and increase strength. Record prognosis, treatment response, and progress in patient charts or enter information into the computer. Instruct patients and families in home treatment procedures and confer with medical practitioners to plan and assess intervention programs. Review physician referrals and medical records to determine required treatment. Requires a current NJ Physical Therapist State License, accredited therapy program graduation, and high school diploma. Pay rate is $40 per 60-hour block.
Required Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited therapy program
- Current NJ Physical Therapist State License
