Job Summary
Patient Evaluation, assess impairment and rehabilitation potential; develop physical therapy treatment plans including training in functional mobility, therapeutic exercise, balance/coordination retraining, massage, heat, and cryotherapy; provide leadership by training/mentoring team members and coordinating coverage within the Physical Medicine & Rehab department. Roles require NY licensure, per diem schedule, and on-site duties at Rochester General Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy, or Bachelor’s degree with prior experience as a licensed Physical Therapist
- Current New York State license or a limited permit as a Registered Physical Therapist
- If a New York State license or limited permit is not held, must be hired within 90 days of graduation from a New York State or APTA- accredited physical therapist education program and meet Practice Exemption under New York State Physical Therapy License Requirements.
- If working in Homecare or traveling between locations, a NYS license is required.
