Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments, establish care plans, and adjust treatments to restore physical function. Administer manual exercises, instruct patients on assistive devices, and discuss goals with patients and families. Complete billing sheets by end of day, document progress, and participate in quality improvement processes. Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants per policy. Provide in-service education for nursing staff as needed. Requires a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (or accredited program graduation), state licensure, and Class D driver's license. Per diem schedule with onsite day shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
- Physical Therapist [State License]
- Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License
- Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy
- Master's Degree Physical Therapy
- Doctor of Physical Therapy Physical Therapy
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems
- Excellent organizational skills
- Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Teaching others how to do something
- Excellent problem solving, case management and communication skills
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience completing internship or apprenticeship program
- 1-2 years
- Master's Degree Physical Therapy preferred
- Doctor of Physical Therapy Physical Therapy preferred
- Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
