Job Summary
Conduct objective functional evaluations using appropriate tests and measures to establish plans of care with measurable goals. Implement age-appropriate physical interventions based on patient diagnosis and functional status while maintaining accurate documentation of examinations, prognosis, and education. Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize outcomes and provide on-site clinical supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides. Evaluate patient progress toward functional goals and modify the plan of care as needed. Provide education to patients, families, and clinicians regarding functional status and treatment plans.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program)
- Current and valid NYS Physical Therapy license and registration or limited permit
- Current and valid BLS or CPR certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) skills
- Basic computer skills
- Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program)
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) Physical Therapy (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) approved PT program)
- 1- 2 years Hospital (Inpatient) or Orthopedic (Outpatient) Rehabilitation setting
