Job Summary
The Pelvic Floor Specialist performs comprehensive evaluations and develops individualized treatment plans for patients suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction, prenatal/postpartum musculoskeletal complaints, post-surgical rehabilitation, and sexual pain disorders. The role involves evaluating and treating conditions such as incontinence and pelvic pain, designing tailored exercise programs for prenatal and postpartum patients, and providing education on body mechanics and pelvic health. Candidates should possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, a NJ PT License, and have 2-3 years of relevant experience, with strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered care philosophy.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- NJ PT License
- 2-3 years’ experience working in women’s health/pelvic health
- Prior experience in OB/GYN or similar clinical setting
Desired Qualifications
- Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) preferred
- Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) preferred
- Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy in Pelvic Health (CAPP) preferred
- Certificate of Advanced Practice in Physical Therapy in Obstetric Health (CAPP-OB) preferred
