Job Summary
Evaluate and treat individual and group patients with chronic pain, post-concussion syndrome, and complex functional limitations using an interdisciplinary biopsychosocial framework. Deliver pain neuroscience education, functional training, and movement-based interventions while collaborating closely with medical and psychology teams to align treatment plans. Combine patient education, hands-on care, and exercise instruction within comprehensive 60-minute visits to empower patients and restore confidence in daily roles. Contribute to outcomes tracking and continuous program improvement while maintaining strong therapeutic relationships. This onsite role in Capitola requires a full-time or part-time Licensed Physical Rehabilitation Therapist with a solid understanding of the workers' compensation system. Full-time employees work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California License to practice (Physical Therapy)
- A solid understanding of the workers' compensation system
- Strong orthopedic assessment skills
- Ability to educate patients with chronic pain conditions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team as well as autonomously
- Able to work with patients and equipment using sound judgment
- An attitude of excellence in providing quality patient care
Desired Qualifications
- Leadership experience is a plus
- Desire to grow into a leadership position is a plus
- Knowledge of pain neuroscience is a plus
- Vestibular rehab experience is a plus
- Oculomotor rehab experience is a plus
- Working knowledge of myofascial release techniques and manual therapy skills is a plus
- Experience with EMR documentation preferred but will train
- Experience in chronic pain, concussion, neuro, ortho, or functional restoration is a plus
- Experience in workers compensation is a plus
