Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy evaluations and carry out treatment plans for individuals with developmental disabilities in clinic, day hab, and school settings. Write valid prescriptions, communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and maintain confidentiality while completing all documentation in accordance with agency and Medicare/Medicaid regulations. Uphold NYS Education Law/Practice Act standards, attend staff meetings, and ensure treatment areas and equipment are maintained. Work part-time (20–29.9 hours/week) Monday through Friday, Monday–Thursday 8am–5:30pm, Friday 8am–4pm, with variable daily hours and potential local or overnight travel to partner agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Science
- Completion of accredited Physical Therapy program
- License or eligible for license as a Physical Therapist in New York State
- Current New York State registration as a Physical Therapist
- Valid New York State driver's license
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Must have demonstrated commitment to performing job duties and tasks at a high level of performance
- Maintains CPR and First Aid Certification
