Job Summary
Implement treatment plans designed by a supervising Physical Therapist while administering therapeutic exercises and modalities across geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, outpatient, and acute care settings. Observe, assess, and document patient responses and progress, reporting changes or concerns promptly to the supervising PT. Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety precautions, and techniques to promote continued recovery. Maintain accurate treatment records and progress notes while collaborating with multidisciplinary team members including RNs, PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists. Promote a safe, clean, and supportive environment for all patients. Requires current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant and an Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting. This role offers flexible scheduling and mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assisting
- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary care team
- Commitment to providing compassionate, ethical, and high-quality patient care
- Level 2 background screening in compliance with Florida AHCA regulations
