Job Summary
Outpatient Physical Therapist sought to join Metro Physical & Aquatic Therapy. Full-time role with mentorship, leadership development, student loan repayment options, CEU stipend and residency partnership for Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). Responsibilities include evaluating patient needs, developing personalized treatment plans, delivering therapy per physician care plans, instructing family members and caregivers in techniques, and leveraging AI-assisted documentation to streamline notes. In-house NPTE tutoring support and opportunities for professional growth across multiple departments are available. Location: Port Jefferson Station, NY; in-person work. Competitive compensation ($85k–$105k) with incentive potential; comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of New York or eligible
- First Aid Certification
- AED Certification
- CPR Certification
- Ability to evaluate a patient’s need for physical therapy and develop an appropriate treatment plan
- Experience instructing family members, PTAs, Home Health Aides, and other caregivers in appropriate physical therapy techniques
- OCS Residency Partnership (100% funded by Metro)
- New York state license or eligibility for licensure
