Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to create tailored treatment plans for approximately seven daily patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain. Manage caseloads by applying evidence-based techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like ultrasound or electrical stimulation. Provide patient and family education on conditions and rehabilitation strategies while documenting progress through accurate record-keeping in compliance with regulatory guidelines. Work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM within a state-of-the-art outpatient facility serving adolescents through seniors.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Minimum of two years of practical experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting
Desired Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
- Experience working with specific rehabilitation technology and modalities that enhance treatment outcomes
- Proven track record in successfully implementing patient education programs and exercise regimes
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems utilized for patient documentation and workflow management
