Job Summary
Delivers safe and competent physical therapy as ordered by a physician, planning and implementing specific treatment programs for individual patients according to physical therapy principles. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary treatment team and supervises physical therapy assistants to ensure safe and competent care. Requires a current Florida Physical Therapist license (temporary permit accepted) and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from a CAPTE-accredited program. Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare, a top provider of advanced orthopedic and surgical care in North Florida and South Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree (or equivalent) from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited educational program
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE-accredited educational program conferred prior to 2019
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in physical therapy from a CAPTE accredited educational program conferred prior to 2000
- Current Florida Physical Therapist license
- Temporary permit may be accepted
