Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in an outpatient setting by applying physical therapy treatment modalities and therapeutic procedures to meet patient needs and physician orders. Complete all required documentation, assist in scheduling, and attend interdisciplinary rounds or committee meetings as assigned. Maintain unit-specific competencies, mandatory learning, and clinical certifications per department policy. Define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions to drive appropriate plans of care while demonstrating intermediate-level computer skills for medical and billing records. Lift and move up to 100 pounds, frequently handling loads up to 50 pounds with modified devices. Requires an active Maryland license, doctorate or master's degree, and experience in physical rehabilitation services.
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate or master's degree
- Active Maryland license - Maryland Board of Physical Therapy
- Competence to provide physical rehabilitation services by reason of education, training and experience
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions that drive an appropriate plan of care
- Intermediate-level computer skills needed for accurate completion of computerized medical records, billing records, and various other computerized tasks
- Appropriate certification for Women's Health PT if functioning as Women's Health Physical Therapist
- Appropriate training and education if functioning as Lymphedema Specialist
- Ability to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with modified lifting devices
- Maintenance of unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements
