Job Summary
Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans using diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests. Treat injuries, manage chronic conditions, and educate patients on prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices to maximize independence. Record and report patient reactions and condition changes to the physician as required. Attend rehabilitation center staff meetings and in-service presentations. Work in our outpatient department with opportunities to float to inpatient settings. Requires a DPT, active California license, NPTE, and BLS certification. Full-time or per diem pay scales range from $55.51 to $94.97. Plumas District Hospital serves the Quincy community in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
- Active California Physical Therapy License (in good standing)
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
- Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Compliance with all California and federal PT regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient settings
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to manage diverse patient populations and diagnoses
- Proficiency with computers and EMR systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
