Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments, establish treatment plans, and administer manual exercises to restore physical functioning. Interpret evaluation results to determine goals, instruct patients on assistive devices, and adjust therapies based on progress. Complete daily billing sheets accurately and document anticipated progress for reevaluation. Supervise physical therapist assistants per policy and participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives. Provide in-service education for nursing personnel as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program
- Physical Therapist [State License]
- Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy
- Master's Degree Physical Therapy
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program
- Experience completing internship or apprenticeship program 1-2 years
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record systems
- Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements
