Job Summary
Screen, test, evaluate, diagnose, and treat injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities. Consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers while collaborating with care teams to deliver patient-centered care. Conduct evaluations and treatments according to professional standards, develop care plans with specific goals, and meet established productivity standards. Keep thorough patient records, complete billing accurately, and communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers. Manage patient care and education, including supervising assistants, aides, office staff, and students. Participate in quality improvement processes, utilization review audits, and interdisciplinary meetings. Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Current driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Acceptable driving record
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to handle items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Ability to obtain and distribute supplies and equipment
- Ability to push/pull gurneys and portable equipment
- Ability to navigate crowded and busy rooms
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Basic computer skills
