Job Summary
Conduct screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treatment of injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities. Consult with, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers while collaborating with care teams to deliver patient-centered care. Develop care plans with specific goals based on patient assessments and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare providers. Maintain thorough patient records, complete billing accurately, and meet established productivity standards. Supervise assistants, aides, and students to ensure high-quality care while participating in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary meetings. Engage in continuing education and contribute to program development strategies to achieve department goals.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Current driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Ability to work flexible weekday shifts - no weekends or holidays
- Ability to work part-time (24/week)
- Ability to work in Billings, Montana
- Ability to comply with all applicable Intermountain policies and expectations
- Ability to ensure no outside employment or activities interfere with job responsibilities or create a conflict of interest with Intermountain
