Job Summary
Conduct screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treatment of injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities. Consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers while collaborating with care teams to deliver patient-centered care. Develop care plans with specific goals based on patient assessments and ensure smooth operations of rehabilitation services. Manage all aspects of patient care and education, including supervising assistants, aides, office staff, and students. Complete patient billing accurately, maintain thorough records, and participate in utilization review audits and interdisciplinary meetings. Engage in quality improvement processes and program development to achieve department goals.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
