Job Summary
Conduct screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treatment of injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities. Consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers while collaborating with care teams to deliver quality, patient-centered care. Develop care plans with specific goals based on patient assessments and manage all aspects of patient care, including supervising assistants, aides, office staff, and students. Maintain thorough patient records, complete billing accurately, and participate in utilization review audits, interdisciplinary meetings, and quality improvement processes. Promote continuing education for self and staff and contribute to program development strategies. Work flexible weekday shifts (24 hours/week) in Billings, Montana, with ongoing training in vestibular, pelvic floor, neuro, and ortho specialties.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Current driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment including items of varying weights up to and including heavy items
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Ability to push/pull gurneys and portable equipment including heavy items
- Ability to navigate crowded and busy rooms full of equipment and power cords on the floor
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Ability to comply with all applicable Intermountain policies and expectations
- Ability to acknowledge that outside employment or activities may not interfere with job responsibilities or create a conflict of interest with Intermountain
