Job Summary
Screen, test, evaluate, diagnose, and treat injuries, diseases, and disabilities using physical therapy procedures and modalities. Consult, educate, and train patients, families, and caregivers while collaborating with care teams to deliver patient-centered care. Conduct evaluations and treatments according to professional standards, develop care plans with specific goals, and keep thorough, timely patient records. Complete patient billing accurately, communicate effectively with patients, families, and providers, and manage all aspects of patient care and education including supervising assistants, aides, and students. Participate in quality improvement processes, utilization review audits, and interdisciplinary meetings. Contribute to program development and marketing strategies to grow the physical therapy program. Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Current driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Ability to handle items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients
- Ability to obtain and distribute supplies and equipment
- Ability to push/pull gurneys and portable equipment
- Ability to navigate crowded and busy rooms
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Ability to comply with all applicable Intermountain policies and expectations

Desired Qualifications
- Experience with vestibular, pelvic floor, neuro, and ortho specialties
- Experience with continuing education opportunities for self and staff
- Experience with quality improvement processes
- Experience with utilization review audits
- Experience with patient care conferences, interdisciplinary meetings, staff meetings, and necessary professional and work groups
- Experience with program development and marketing strategies to grow the physical therapy program
