Job Summary
Evaluates and treats outpatient physical therapy patients. Supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Designs and implements a plan of care appropriate to identified issues, treatment frequency, and involves patient and family. Plans or assists with discharge from therapy services. Educates patients and families on treatment plans and progress; provides guidance on adaptive equipment and resources. Must hold a Florida Physical Therapist License and BLS certifications; able to work days in an outpatient setting across multiple locations. Demonstrates accountability, clinical standards, communication, and patient-centered care in a high-demand environment.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited Physical Therapy program required
- Physical Therapy License (PT) - State of Florida
- BLS American Heart Association (BLS) certification(s)
- BLS RQI or equivalent as applicable
- Ability to supervise PTAs and students
- Ability to evaluate and treat outpatient physical therapy patients
- Ability to discharge planning and family education
