Job Summary
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal and movement disorders using evidence-based techniques while creating personalized care plans. Educate and empower patients, families, and caregivers for long-term success through one-on-one interactions without double booking. Collaborate with care teams to deliver quality, patient-centered care while maintaining thorough documentation and accurate billing. Participate in quality improvement processes, utilization review audits, and program development to achieve department goals. Join the outpatient Physical Therapy team at St. Vincent Regional Hospital, where ongoing training in vestibular, pelvic health, neuro, and orthopedics specialties is available. Work in a collaborative, upbeat environment with easy access to outdoor adventures in Billings, Montana.
Required Qualifications
- Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
- Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc)
- Expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
