Job Summary

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal and movement disorders using evidence-based techniques while creating personalized care plans. Educate and empower patients, families, and caregivers for long-term success through one-on-one interactions without double booking. Collaborate with care teams and stakeholders to deliver quality, patient-centered care while maintaining thorough documentation and accurate billing. Meet established productivity standards and engage in quality improvement processes, including utilization review audits. Participate in continuing education and contribute to program development strategies to grow the physical therapy department.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Physical Therapist license in states where you work
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and acceptable driving record
  • Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
  • Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
  • Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items
  • Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
  • Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc)
  • May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess skill sets and experience with target population of job setting
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
  • Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
