Job Summary
Treat and evaluate patients up to 34 hours per week while engaging in 8+ hours of weekly coursework and professional development. Gain multi-disciplinary exposure through cadaver dissections, manual skills labs, and physician/surgery shadowing. Complete a quality improvement research project with opportunities to present and publish. This 13.5-month accredited residency program, designed by therapists for therapists, prepares participants for the Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) Exam with a 100% historical pass rate. The curriculum spans spine, extremities, and head/neck regions over 60 weeks, supported by direct mentorship and access to the MedBridge OCS Prep Program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate (current or pending) from an accredited physical therapy program
- Active or pending state physical therapist license
- Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Attainment of Maryland Physical Therapy licensure prior to beginning the residency program
- Five references provided through our skills surveys, including at least one clinical and one educational reference
- Submission of at least one letter of recommendation from one of the above references
- Current CPR certification
