Job Summary
Provide physical therapy services at UT Austin University Health Services (UHS) PT department for UT students. Roles include evaluating, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy for patients; providing supervision of PT Assistants, PT Technicians, Athletic Trainers, student workers, and observers; documenting in EHR; maintaining patient confidentiality; and contributing to quality improvement. Positions available for Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant with relevant licensure and education. Typical schedule 40 hours/week on UT Main Campus.
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapist Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy (CAPTE-accredited) or equivalent
- Current Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners license (PT)
- Experience using a personal computer and documenting in an electronic health record (EHR)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated professional demeanor
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
- Physical Therapist Assistant Graduation from CAPTE-accredited PTA Program
- Current licensure from the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners (PTA)
- Experience using a personal computer and documenting in an EHR
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Current CPR certification
- Demonstrated professional demeanor
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate
- Preferred Qualifications: Physical Therapist Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy; Two+ years outpatient PT; experience supervising PT Assistants/Technicians/Students; manual therapy/dry needling certifications
- PTA: Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field; Two+ years as PTA in outpatient orthopedic/sports medicine; manual therapy/dry needling certifications
