Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients across outpatient, inpatient, and sub-acute settings by interpreting assessments to develop functional physical therapy plans of care. Provide one-on-one treatments, educate patients and families on safety and mobility, document billing per standards, and supervise physical therapy assistants as needed. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care, maintain equipment inventory, and ensure continued clinical competence. Work as a PRN on-call therapist with a pay range of $44.40 to $62.17, including weekend and holiday rotation. Join a patient-centered team at RiverView Health, a community-owned non-profit serving Crookston, MN.
Required Qualifications
- Current State of Minnesota license as a Physical Therapist/ PT or proactively in the process of the application process for current state licensure as a Physical Therapist / PT
- Current American Heart BLS certification
- Flexibility to work across inpatient, outpatient, and swing bed environments
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to effectively and professionally interact with patients, family members, and other health care team members
- Ability to evaluate and interpret patient assessments to determine necessity for skilled services to develop physical therapy plans of care
- Ability to develop and implement treatment plans that focus on functional and measurable outcomes to achieve established therapy goals
- Ability to identify patient's needs (physical, cultural, and psychosocial) and exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences
- Ability to provide guidance and education to patients and their families on safety and mobility
- Ability to document and complete billing according to current standards and policies
- Ability to perform data collection and obtain accurate information
- Ability to effectively delegate tasks and supervise physical therapy assistants as needed
- Ability to collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Ability to assist in maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, and inventory
- Ability to adhere to ethical and legal standards
- Ability to ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge
- Clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Passing score on NPTE within 3 months of hire
