Job Summary
Review physician referrals and medical records to determine required physical therapy treatment. Plan and prepare written treatment programs, administer manual therapeutic exercises, and perform evaluations including range of motion and gait analysis. Confer with physicians and other practitioners to integrate therapy with overall patient care, while recording progress and adjusting treatment intensity. Supervise physical therapy assistants and aides, conduct on-the-job training for students, and assist in staff recruitment. Maintain documentation for third-party reimbursement, participate in department budget planning and policy updates, and adhere to infection control precautions. Work inside with exposure to some disagreeable conditions while lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Licensed in the state where practicing
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds
- Ability to work inside with exposure to some disagreeable conditions
- Must be capable of executing all terms and conditions set forth in the Employee Handbook
- Work in a safety conscious manner
- Comply with local, state and federal regulations
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Adhere to Company policy of a drug free workplace
- Maintain a dependable attendance record
- Adhere to standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene and dress code
