Job Summary
Physical Therapist for a 0.1 FTE (approximately 4 hours per week) in the Early Intervention/Early Childhood Education department. Provides evaluation and intervention services for children birth through age 21 with motor, mobility, orthopedic, neuromuscular, and functional movement delays that affect educational performance and access to educational programs. Responsible for conducting screenings and assessments, determining eligibility and level of service, and contributing to IEPs and IFSPs. Requires licensure and graduate credentialing in physical therapy (DPT preferred or equivalent), knowledge of pediatric PT theory and practice, and ability to collaborate with families, educators, and related professionals. Duties include developing individualized therapy programs, training staff and families, maintaining accurate records and Medicaid documentation, and ensuring safe, effective therapy in classrooms, therapy rooms, homes, and community settings. Essential physical duties involve lifting, transferring, positioning, gait training, and use of adaptive equipment, with emphasis on safety and compliance with applicable laws and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)
- Oregon Physical Therapist License
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance
- Valid Driver’s License and evidence of insurability
- Successfully pass district background screening
