Job Summary
Evaluate patients with differing diagnoses, devise individualized care plans, and recommend or perform treatments as ordered by referring physicians. Educate patients on disease processes, equipment use, and rehabilitation techniques while providing aquatic therapy when indicated. Actively research new services, suggest improvements to existing protocols, and engage in annual professional development activities. Supervise physical therapy assistants and other personnel as required, participate in quality assurance and research projects, and represent the service line in community education programs. Maintain state-of-the-art clinical expertise through continuing education and in-services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Current Illinois Licensure as Physical Therapist or eligible for licensure
- Current CPR card
- Healthcare Provider or Instructor BLS certification
- Knowledge of proper procedure for all physical therapy evaluation procedures, modalities, including age-specific, precautions and contra-indications

- 2 years experience in Physical Therapy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to show respect for patient rights by considering their cultural, psychosocial, and spiritual values
