Job Summary
Conduct medically prescribed physical therapy programs for patients in inpatient, outpatient, and hospice settings. Perform tests and measurements to assess disability, develop treatment plans aligned with MD orders and payer requirements, and modify care based on patient progress. Deliver evidence-based interventions including patient and family education on disease management and durable medical equipment use. Complete comprehensive documentation of care, interventions, and outcomes while communicating findings to physicians and hospital staff. Maintain a current Washington Physical Therapy license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an APTA accredited Physical Therapy program (B.S., M.S., D.P.T. or certificate in Physical Therapy)
- Current Physical Therapy license in the State of Washington
- Current BLS HCP verification
- Maintain a valid WA State Driver's License, personal insurance, and is insurable with the District's Insurance Carrier
- Must be able to provide care for people in a variety of settings, including outpatient and acute care
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, the Physical Therapy Practice Act for the state of Washington, and the Code of Ethics of the American Physical Therapy Association
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer at least 1 year of previous experience as a Physical Therapist with work experience in acute care, skilled nursing and/or outpatient environments
- A minimum of one (1) year recent experience as a registered physical therapist
