Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive health care assessments, prescribe treatment, and develop personalized fitness-oriented programs for patients with acute, chronic, neurological, and substance use disorders. Perform in-office procedures including joint injections, arthrocentesis, and skin biopsies while administering medically prescribed therapies to relieve pain and improve mobility. Document all patient history, exam findings, and interventions within three calendar days, and review electronic lab and diagnostic results with timely follow-up. Collaborate with specialists and Advanced Practice Providers, serving as a patient-centered medical home for assigned panels and supervising APPs as needed. Participate in team huddles, continuous quality improvement activities, and spiritual care initiatives, while meeting productivity standards of 18 patients per 8-hour day.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed to practice physical therapy
- A master's degree in physical therapy from an accredited educational institution
- Passed the National Physical Therapist Examination (NPTE)
- Compliant with state regulatory requirements
- A valid license to practice physical therapy
- Provider BLS certification (includes CPR certification)
- A copy of license is needed
- A copy of California License and DEA license are required
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of treatment practices
- Ability to solve problems independently
- Excellent analytical and logical thinking
- Ability to manage patients with different personalities
- Ability to write reports and correspondence at a professional level
- Ability to use a computer and software proficiently
