Job Summary
Evaluate, administer remedial treatments, and conduct screenings for pediatric patients in home health settings. Direct patients and caregivers in selected tasks to restore performance while providing family training on home programming and discharge planning. Coordinate care with office staff, consult with physicians on progress, and maintain appropriate records. Refer patients to appropriate services and participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs. Manage supplies and equipment, attend continuing education, and mentor students and new hires. Maintain adequate caseload with appropriate productivity and serve as backup service provider when needed. Requires Master's degree, current state license, valid driver's license, and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Current state-issued professional license
- Valid state driver's license
- CPR certification
- Pediatric clinical experience
- Home health experience
- Ability to read and write in simple correspondence
- Effective public speaking in small groups
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to interpret instruction with the ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, record keeping and routine database activity
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
