Job Summary
Provides and directs quality patient care including evaluation, treatment planning, and documentation in alignment with professional standards. Responsible for developing treatment plans based on M.D. orders and facility guidelines while advocating for patient needs. Ensures comprehensive patient education and effective documentation. Must maintain appropriate state licensure and participate in ongoing education. Responsibilities include supervising assistants and contributing to interdisciplinary care efforts, adhering to safety procedures, and enhancing communication with patients and their families.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved curriculum in Physical Therapy
- Current, active license as Physical Therapist
- CPR Certification, as required for license renewal
- Working knowledge of Medicare and other payor sources
- Experience in long term care preferred
