Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop, and deliver individualized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation across various settings. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients by conducting history reviews, applying appropriate tests, and establishing diagnoses to design comprehensive treatment plans. Implement therapeutic techniques including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities while instructing patients and caregivers in skills to promote independence. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements. Adapt plans of care based on individual patient progress and consult with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate regimens. Ensure timely documentation, maintain equipment, and enforce safety protocols. Requires a valid PT license, Master's degree, and availability to travel nationwide for 13-week assignments.
Required Qualifications
- valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
