Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop, and deliver individualized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation across skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient, and home-based settings. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, design treatment plans, and implement therapeutic techniques including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities. Instruct patients and caregivers in skills essential for independence, perform routine reexaminations to modify care, and make referrals to other disciplines. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel while ensuring adherence to plans of care, documentation standards, and safety protocols. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments, temporarily residing in various locations.
Required Qualifications
- valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
