Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop, and deliver individualized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients using appropriate tests to establish diagnoses and design treatment plans. Implement therapeutic techniques including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities while instructing patients and caregivers on skills for independence. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements. Adapt plans of care based on patient progress and consult with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate regimens. Ensure safe environments, order supplies, and maintain equipment. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments in various settings, including skilled nursing and home-based care.
Required Qualifications
- valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
