Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop and deliver individualized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation, and instruct patients and caregivers in skills promoting independence. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients using appropriate tests to establish diagnoses, design treatment plans, and implement therapeutic techniques including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities. Direct activities to maintain health, consult with the rehabilitation team to select regimens, and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel per state licensure requirements. Ensure timely documentation, order supplies, maintain equipment, and promote a safe environment by identifying and reporting hazards. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments across skilled nursing centers, clinics, and home-based care settings while adhering to established plans of care and department schedules.
Required Qualifications
- valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
