Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop, and deliver individualized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation across various settings. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, and design treatment plans including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and adaptive device training. Instruct patients and caregivers in skills essential for promoting independence while directing activities to maintain health. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments with flexibility to work in skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient clinics, and home-based care. Adhere to established plans of care, department schedules, and timely documentation standards. Contribute to patient care conferences and collaborate with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens. Ensure a safe environment by enforcing hazard elimination and managing equipment maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
