Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop and deliver individualized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation, and instruct patients and caregivers in skills promoting independence. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients using appropriate tests to establish diagnoses, set treatment goals, and implement therapeutic techniques including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities. Direct activities to maintain health, consult with the rehabilitation team to select regimens, and adapt plans based on individual patient progress. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel while ensuring adherence to safety standards, equipment maintenance, and timely documentation. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments across various settings including skilled nursing centers and home-based care.
Required Qualifications
- valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
