Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop, and deliver individualized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation across skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient clinics, and home-based settings. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, and design treatment plans including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and functional training. Instruct patients and caregivers in skills essential for independence while supervising Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel. Direct activities to promote health, consult with the rehabilitation team on therapeutic regimens, and ensure timely documentation of services. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments, adhering to state licensure requirements and professional standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- Available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist primary home
- Qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
