Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop and deliver individualized physical therapy programs, and instruct patients and caregivers to promote independence. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients using appropriate tests to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, and design treatment plans covering therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and functional training. Direct activities to maintain health, adapt plans based on individual progress, and supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and students. Make referrals to other disciplines, consult with the rehabilitation team, and ensure timely documentation while maintaining a safe environment. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments across skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient clinics, and home-based care settings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- Available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist primary home
- Qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
