Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop, and deliver physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation across various settings. Screen, examine, and evaluate patients to establish diagnoses, identify impairments, and design individualized treatment plans including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and adaptive device training. Instruct patients and caregivers in skills essential for promoting independence, while directing activities to maintain health and correct pathology. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements. Consult with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens and adapt plans based on individual patient progress. Ensure timely documentation, order necessary supplies, and maintain a safe environment by identifying and reporting equipment hazards. This Journey Travel assignment requires nationwide travel for 13-week placements with temporary residence in new locations.
Required Qualifications
- valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapists primary home
- The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
