Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop and deliver individualized physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation, and instruct patients and caregivers in skills promoting independence. Implement therapeutic techniques including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities while adapting plans based on individual progress. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and students, coordinate referrals to other disciplines, and maintain accurate documentation of services. Ensure patient safety by identifying hazards and enforcing protocols, while ordering and maintaining necessary supplies and equipment. Travel nationwide for 13-week assignments across skilled nursing, home care, and outpatient settings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy
- Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- Available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist primary home
- Qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy
