Job Summary
The Physical Therapist — Journey Traveler role involves traveling nationwide for 13-week assignments to deliver and assess physical therapy programs, educate patients and caregivers, and coordinate with rehabilitation teams to restore function. Responsibilities include developing and implementing therapy plans, coordinating referrals to other disciplines, supervising assistants when needed, ensuring timely documentation, maintaining a safe care environment, and selecting appropriate therapeutic techniques (therapeutic exercise, gait training, manual therapy, neuromotor development, electrotherapy, orthotics/prosthetics). Requires a valid PT license, a master's (or equivalent) in PT, and ability to travel and reside temporarily outside the primary home; sponsorship for visa and relocation is supported. Posted salary range is USD $55.00 - USD $70.00 per hour, with travel-focused assignments across the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility
- Master's degree in Physical Therapy; or Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field with Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience
- Willingness to travel nationwide and temporarily reside outside of primary home
- Degree earned outside the U.S. must be evaluated as U.S. equivalent to Physical Therapy
